Leather document trays help keep frequently used documents organized and accessible on your desk. Choose the document organizer that best suits your workspace by comparing single or multi-tiered models based on capacity, size, color, and compatibility with your desk set.
What to Consider When Choosing a Document Tray?
When selecting a document tray, the type of documents to be used, the daily document volume, and the available desk space are crucial. Single-tiered models may be sufficient for keeping current files together. Multi-tiered trays create a simple workflow, such as separating incoming, in-progress, and completed documents.
Size and Capacity
If it will be used for A4 documents, files, or envelopes, the suitability of the internal dimensions should be checked. The external dimension only indicates the space the product will occupy on the desk; the usable internal width of the tray and the height between tiers are also important.
Color and Material Harmony
Choosing a document tray in the same color family as your existing desk pad, pen holder, or desk surface provides a cohesive look. For compatible products, check out the leather desk pad sets, magazine racks and file holders for vertical file and catalog organization, and office desktop accessories for all options.
Care
The material type may vary depending on the product. Clean the surface without excessive wetting and without using harsh chemicals; if there are manufacturer's maintenance instructions, follow them. Overfilling the tray beyond its carrying capacity can deform it.
Frequently Asked Questions
Should I choose a single or multi-tiered document tray?
A single tray is more suitable for a single group of documents, while a multi-tiered tray is better for separating documents by status or topic. Also, consider the desk space.
Do A4 files fit in the document tray?
This depends on the internal dimensions of the product. Compare the usable dimensions in the product details with A4 documents or the files you use.
Can a document tray be used with a desk pad set?
It can be used together if there is a match in size and color. Some desk pad sets already include a document tray, so check the set contents.
